The main platform is composed of a dense grid of square cooling pillars that elevate the iron's soleplate away from the base layer, encouraging maximum airflow and rapid heat dissipation. A steep, continuous outward retaining wall ensures the heavy appliance cannot slip loose, while monolithic bottom gussets anchor the entire assembly securely to the drywall or studs of a laundry room.
Design Details
- Docking Pad: A generous 200x130mm footprint accommodates most standard household steam irons securely.
- Thermal Venting: The elevated 7x7mm pillar grid creates a breathable undercarriage, ensuring ambient air can wash over the soleplate to rapidly shed residual heat.
- Retaining Rim: A 15mm tall structural perimeter edge prevents the iron from sliding off, even if bumped.
