My first printer was a Flashforge, and that's what inspired this model! Print a tiny one for yourself. A printer printing a printer? It's micro-fabrication all the way down. This desktop diorama captures the essence of modern FDM right in the middle of a calibration print. Perfect for sitting on top of your actual extruder to remind it what peak performance looks like. Having a massive bald spot on the forehead just makes the whole thing look unfinished, but printing the bumps straight into the eye sockets ruins the face entirely. I narrowed the clearance zone down to just the immediate space around the eyes—the upper forehead is covered in brain folds again, but they stop right before crashing into the eyes.
