Description

Desktop switches left dangling by their patch cables or sliding around on top of rack gear are a preventable mess. These custom rack ears bolt right into the side of a TP-Link SG2016P, bridging the gap to a standard 19-inch server rack so it actually stays put.

Fit and Fabrication

  • Span: Bridges an 89.5mm gap per side (assumes a 286mm wide switch).
  • Side Mounting: Features three generous slots rather than fixed holes, accommodating variations in where TP-Link drills their chassis. Uses standard M3 or M4 screws.
  • Rack Mounting: Standard 1U slotted holes (31.75mm center-to-center).
  • Printing: Both ears lay flat on their front face. Zero supports required. Print in PETG or ABS if your rack runs hot, though standard PLA is structurally fine for a switch this light.
