Description
A precision-fit pen chassis designed exclusively around the Uni-ball Signo DX (UMR-1) refill.
The design consists of three pieces: a threaded barrel, a tapered front grip section that locks the refill shoulder in place, and a flush-fitting cap.
Fitment Notes
- Refill: Uni-ball Signo DX / UMR-1 series (typically 0.38mm or 0.28mm capped refills).
- Not Compatible With: Retractable UMR-83 refills (Signo RT) — they lack the rigid front shoulder this grip relies on to stop the tip.
- Assembly: The grip threads onto the barrel using an M8x1 thread. The cap slides completely over the grip and friction-locks onto a slight taper at the front of the barrel.
- Tuning: If the refill rattles slightly from manufacturing tolerances, a tiny piece of foam or paper in the bottom of the barrel will compress it tight.
