Lucent — Acrylic Spine Stand
Lucent is a minimalist C-channel spine designed to hold two 1-inch thick, 4x6 acrylic photo blocks in a vertical stack. Rather than encasing the blocks, it grips them from the back using a continuous tension spine and two tiny retention tabs at the extreme top and bottom, remaining almost completely invisible from the front. The entire assembly leans back at a subtle 7-degree angle. Because 2 pounds of solid acrylic has a tendency to tip, the clip features an extended, wedge-shaped rear foot that acts as a counter-lever, keeping the stack firmly planted on your desk. Dimensions Capacity: Holds exactly two 4" x 6" x 1" blocks stacked vertically (8" total height). Clearance: 26.2mm deep slot with a 204.4mm height, allowing the blocks to slide in easily from the side without binding. Footprint: 40mm wide by 75mm deep. Print notes When you import this into your slicer, lay it flat on its side. Printing it sideways ensures the layer lines run continuously along the entire length of the spine. If you print it standing upright, the layers will run horizontally, and the leverage of the heavy acrylics will snap the spine across a layer line. Printed flat, it requires zero supports and is essentially unbreakable.

The original stencil font separates the number into multiple islands, so this 2mm base ensures the entire character prints as a single connected object. Built thick and heavy to sit solidly on a desk, the geometry takes its cues from classic creator awards with a prominent center play button and bold, stacked typography. The most important structural choice here is the completely flush back surface. By aligning the rear face of the base with the rear face of the vertical plaque, the entire model can be laid flat on its back in a slicer. This guarantees a support-free print and makes dual-color printing trivial by simply swapping filament at the upper layer heights. Remix Hooks Text & Fonts: Uses Archivo Black for the headers and Montserrat for the sub-text. Swap the text() strings to change the channel name or language. Depths: The main plaque is 15mm thick. The play button extrudes 3mm from the face, and the text extrudes 1.5mm. Scaling: The 180x50mm base footprint handles desktop display well, but the entire model can be safely scaled up uniformly if your build volume allows.
