B9 Headlight Intake Duct

What it's for

A track-style air intake duct designed to replace or sit within the headlight housing of a 2017-era Audi A4 (B9 generation). It funnels incoming high-pressure air at the front of the vehicle directly into a standard 3-inch intake hose for engine or brake cooling.

Dimensions

• Front Opening: Roughly 240mm wide by 115mm tall, shaped to mimic the aggressive outer angular profile and bottom notch of the B9 headlight.
• Hose Outlet: 76.2mm (3 inches) outer diameter, standard for silicone intake hosing.
• Overall Depth: 180mm.
• Wall Thickness: 2.5mm for structural rigidity under pressure.

Print notes

Designed as the driver-side (left) insert. Mirror the part on the X-axis in your slicer if you need the passenger-side equivalent. Due to engine bay temperatures, ABS, ASA, or high-temp Nylon are strictly required; PLA or PETG will deform under load and heat. Orient the flat front face on the build plate to print like a vase, minimizing the need for internal supports.

Assembly

Requires removing the factory headlight assembly or cutting the lens/housing to fit. The 3-inch rear neck accepts standard hose clamps. Ensure the intake route is clear of water-ingress hazards if routing directly to the engine intake box.
