Description

A monolithic block of satisfying repetition. This linear stress toy houses a captive slider within its core, traveling exactly 40 millimeters back and forth along an internal track. Built as a single print-in-place object for the desk, it relies on precise tolerances rather than assembly. A sharp tactile click punctuates each end of the stroke as the internal mass seats firmly against integrated bump stops.

Design Notes

  • Tactile Feedback: Embedded spherical bump-stops lock into the slider's divots for a crisp snap at full extension.
  • Print-in-Place: Assembles directly on the build plate with a captive hexagonal track geometry.
  • Clearance Check: Features a bottom release slot to assist with breaking the slider free immediately post-print.
  • Textured Grip: External side grooves and a ridged thumb button provide purchase during use.
