Description

Stackhouse is a tapered, square industrial chimney at OO scale, about 200 mm tall, built from four brick-faced side panels plus a separate base and cap. Each of the base and cap carries a raised, tapered spigot that the panels slide over, so the four sides locate themselves during assembly.

The panel edges are cut at the true mitre for the taper rather than a flat 45°, so adjacent faces meet cleanly along the corner lines.

Features

  • Four identical panels, printed flat with the brick face up
  • Edges cut to the exact mitre angle for the taper
  • Base plinth with a tapered spigot rising inside the panels
  • Cap with a chamfered overhang and a downward spigot
  • 0.3 mm clearance between spigots and panel interiors

Dimensions

  • Height: 200 mm of panel
  • Outer width: 40 mm at the base tapering to 24 mm at the top
  • Wall: 3.4 mm including 0.4 mm brick relief
  • Spigot depth: 12 mm
  • Base plinth: 54 × 54 × 6 mm; cap: 38 × 38 × 5 mm

Print notes

  • Brick courses are oversized for a 0.4 mm nozzle.
  • Panels are long; angle them diagonally if the bed is short.
  • Glue panels to each other and to the spigots.
