Includes the main backpack unit with integrated strap loops, plus two separate grabber arms ending in wide, open-palmed four-finger hands. Dimensions Backpack: 250 mm total width across the outer spools, designed to sit flat against the wearer's back. Strap loops: 35 mm internal clearance, sized to easily accept standard 1.5-inch webbing. Hands: Approximately 120 mm across the splayed fingers, giving a large cartoonish footprint. Print notes The backpack body prints as a single solid piece with the spools attached. The launcher arms and hands are separate bodies designed to print completely flat on the bed for maximum strength and zero supports. Paint them up or string actual colored wire between the backpack spools and the arm hubs to complete the rig.

It’s completely absurd, but it prints in place and works exactly as advertised. I left the geometry simple so you can tweak it to your liking. Remix Hooks Thumb clearance: The floor holes are currently set to 24.5mm. If you're printing this for kids, scale that down; for larger hands, you might need to bump it up. Stakes and ropes: The turnbuckle posts are 5mm thick and the ropes are 2mm tall frames at 17mm and 26mm off the deck. You could easily swap the solid ropes for small holes in the posts and thread real elastic through them instead. Mat thickness: The base is 10mm thick, which gives it enough rigidity to survive a match without snapping.

I stripped out the old jagged polygon boundaries and replaced them with tangent arcs—giving the wings a true biological sweep while keeping the hinge exactly where it needs to be. The antennae are anchored deep into the head block, so they'll actually survive a drop or two. Remix hooks Wing span: Currently sweeps out to roughly 108mm across. You can pull the outer hull coordinates further out for a longer wingspan. Vein pattern: Driven by basic hulls intersecting the wing body. Easy to swap in your own grid or voronoi generator. Hinge tolerance: Locked at 0.4mm clearance on the barrels and pins, which works beautifully for standard PLA. If your printer over-extrudes, scale the pin down slightly.
